the courtyard of taşkışla

The place where I watch the courtyard is related to how i see the courtyard .Am I inside or am I out? This changes my experiences and my observations. When i see through the window i can see all people in the courtyard. I analyze people's movements and directions of their movements. Some people tend to benches in order to rest and some people tend to doors to exit from school. I can see that leaves of trees are waving, branches crashing each other or leaves are falling. But when  I am situated in garden I can feel the wind, I can hear sound of moving branches and I can see that leaves are waving ,and I predict where  leaves drop. When I am in courtyard, although I don’t see all people, I can see detail of bodies, like their facial expressions. Their behaviors give traces about their moods. Someone can be in a hurry, or someone can talk their friends cheerfully. And i notice behavior of other living creatures, like cats or birds .When i look through the window I see shadows. And these shadows are just dark and black stains. But when I am in courtyard I realize these are not just dark stains, shadows are alive as well as owner of them. Shadows make imitation of moving objects .And also there are impressions of light and reflections in the pool, which located in the center of garden. The pool seems just blue area. But when I get close I see my own reflection, then I look center of the pool I see also reflection of Taşkışla. Then again, I look the courtyard from my window, the garden and Taşkışla appear in the same image. Movements in the garden and displays in the building are overlapping. Events in the space and in the building occur in the same time and Emptiness help to sense different events simultaneously. And also seasons have different effects on the courtyard. In winter, people don’t prefer to stand in the garden, but when the weather warm up garden begins to become crowded and activities increase with the spring festival. In the rainy days, people who smoke looking for fringe to protect rain and they group together front of doors. This area is very precious for Taşkışla, because we need this garden for breathing.
